If my car was Rick James...

Yeah so if my car were like Rick James it would screaming, "I'm Ford Taurus biatch, one of the baddest, brokest, automobiles in the world." It would then go on to have an interview with Dave Chapelle with the following highlights.
  • " I don't EVER remember leaving Marcus stranded on the side of the road...Why would I do that? Yeah I remember leaving Marcus stuck on the side of the road. "
  • " F*%k your job n*gg@!!! Ya'll should have never gave me antifreeze! "
I really should do a video of this, it would be freaking hilarious. Ok so these thoughts have been spawned by my recent car troubles, and only Dave Chapelle fans would have the slightest clue of what I am talking about. Anyway, I seem to be having a problem with my car leaking antifreeze and everything I've tried hasn't worked. At the moment my car works great, I just have to fill it up with antifreeze everytime I get ready to drive it, so I guess it doesn't work so great, but at least it works. Oh well I am going to bed.

My weekend in G-vegas

So Thursday I left work and went straight to G-vegas to see Alex, Amber, Dave, and Brent. It was such a great weekend. It was a weekend full of great food, great company, a lot of celebration, and a little bit of video games. Of course it was weird going to G-vegas and know that I wouldn't get to see D, but it was still awesome nonetheless. I had almost forgot how awesome it was to hang out with Alex. She made my weekend so much more relaxing. It's been so long since I could actually just veg out and relax. Whenever I go see most of my friends, I end up being tired and exhausted when I get back, but this time I didn't want to leave. I just wanted to stay a little while longer, and apparently so did my car, because it broke down on the way home. I had to call Alex for help to get some antifreeze for my car. It had overheated and I thought putting some antifreeze in it would fix the problem. So Amber and Alex took me to get anti freeze and my car cooled down and so we said our good byes once again and I headed on my way back towards Fayetteville. Unfortunately .2 miles down the road my car overheated again. I literally got my car up to 50mph and had to pull right back over. I tried to call Alex again, but had no luck because both of my cell phones were dead. Yeah I am an idiot. I have two cell phones and didnt bring a charger for anyone of them on a four day trip. Lucky for me a beautiful stranger stopped by and let me use her cell phone. So this time I called Brent, and he came out and I ended up calling a tow truck even though I was just going to go back to Greenville. Brent and I chilled out for a while listening to a comedy special by Paul Mooney that he had on cd. Wow that was outrageous comedy. I thought Paul was good on the Dave Chapelle show, way better on cd. While sitting in the car I decided it would be better to go ahead and go home to get my car fixed than lounging in G-vegas another day. Long story short, it took me six hours to get home Sunday and I definitely arrived by way of tow truck. So now I am home, exhausted, and ready for bed.
Alex and Brent thanks for being there and Alex thank you for always being you. You always have a way of making my day. Late

Mr. and Mrs. Smith

So today was another good day. I ran a lot of errands today; got my haircut, renewed my registration on my vehicle, did some clothing shopping, bought a new book (PHP), ate great grub, got a call from Doug, etc. It's been a busy day. I also went to see Mr. and Mrs. Smith...twice. It's definitely a "DVD-getter." It was a very funny action packed movie, but I won't go into many details about it. I will give you two of my favorite quotes from the movie though.

"There are no happy endings...happy endings are just stories that haven't finished yet." - Angelina Jolie
"I guess when the end comes all you can think about is the beginning." - Brad Pitt

I think those quotes are just hot. Well it's time for bed now

Come to the dark side...

Ok so today I actually took my new G5 out of the box and set it up. It was super simple to setup, in about 15 minutes I put everything together, had setup my email, setup my TCP/IP settings, installed all the programs, and updated OS X. So at this point I start playing around and I got to tell you....this thing is sweet. Windows XP Pro has nothing on OS X. The interface is incredible and the software that COMES with OS X is actually useful. I started off with the browser, then checked out their email client, then checked out iChat (so hawt), learned some short cut keys, learned how to use iMovie to make a short movie of which I will post tomorrow, tried out Garbage band and played the piano for a while, looked at setting up php but decided not to today (at least not without consulting J-Dy.) I am going to do some more playing around tomorrow. All and all I am happy with my first mac OS X experience.

Pet Peeves

Ok so I feel the need to share my 5 biggest pet peeves with you even though the people that read my blog don't do these things. Here goes...
  1. "I'll call you right back." This is my biggest pet peeve. Most of the times when I hear this quote, it definitely means the person drops off the face of the earth shortly thereafter I hang up. Some how right back usually tranlates to a couple of months later, if at all.
  2. Another pet peeve I have is when you go out of your way to do something for someone else and they waste your time in the process. Primary example: I have someone that asked me to fix there computer. I explained to this person that I was EXTREMELY busy and it would take me weeks to get to it. After this person begs for me to squeeze in a little bit of time to fix it, I agree and tell that person the time I will meet them at their house to fix it. Long story short at the scheduled time to fix this person's computer, this person is no where to be found. I wasted 35 minutes driving to and fro for no reason. wtfmate
  3. Smoking - no elaboration needed.
  4. Commercial holidays - basically holidays that exist to make Hallmark, Hershey's and other companies money. Valentine's Day, Halloween, St Patty's Day, etc.
  5. Petty arguments. There's no need to argue. I'd prefer to listen to your point and then explain back to you what you are saying to me so you are aware that I understand your point and for you to explain my point back to me so I know that you understand my point. You don't have to agree with me, just understand what I am trying to say.
So these are my five biggest pet peeves. The things that perturb me.

This entry is brought to you by the letter G and the number 5

Yeah so today, I got to work and what did I see? A new G5 mac with my name on it. So HAWT. One Gig of RAM, I think 80GBs of memory. I get to take it out of the box Monday so I will know for sure. So why did I get a new mac you ask? Well it turns out I am going to be doing a lot of video editing and maybe a little php. That's going to be super hawt.
So I know I haven't posted anything as of lately, but everything has been going REALLY well. There isn't much to say yet because I'd rather wait to certain things develop more, but I will have a lot more to say later this month if things go well. Well it's time to go get grub. ~Later
