TechStravaganza

Today was the day we were scheduled to go to a seminar on some new neat products. After waking up at 3:30am, leaving my house at 4:15am and making it to work by 5:15am we left at 5:30am on our journey to Greensboro. There were a lot of businesses and a few school systems at the seminar and it was very good. I learned in detail about several products that my school system has been looking at purchasing and the benefits of purchasing these products. They provided lunch for us at the seminar but we decided to go to Olive Garden since it was 5 minutes down the road. After lunch, we came back from one seminar and came home. Still waiting to see if I won the iPod giveaway (I seriously doubt I won.) All and all today was a good day; I got a weath of information on these products and a lot of nice goodies that were being given away as well. :)

Beyonhawtness

I had such a great weekend. Friday I went to the movies "Amityville Horror" which was just horrible. I didn't like the movie at all, but at least the company I was with was great. After the movies we watched Ocean's 12 to make up for that awful movie. Saturday I rolled to New Bern with Doc and Frank to see Tomace. We rolled all over New Bern, went to the mall, went to the beach, and then came back and played the xbox. We crashed at Tomace's townhouse and drove back to the ville Sunday Morning. It was indeed a great trip. When I got home my mom cooked dinner and I grubbed out, so you know I was all about that.
Now I am at work, looking up some stuff and I just found out they have bluetooth cars. This isn't very important to me seeing as I don't have a bluetooth phone, but it's interesting to know how it works. Your phone becomes integrated into the car as long as it is inside of your car. Voice recognition, one touch dialing (from your navigation screen and some cars from your steering wheel.) I also found out Apple is going to make a bluetooth iPod and if that is the case I WILL have one. I am so glad I didn't buy an iPod out the gate. A bluetooth iPod will be like having pocket Napster. I can grab music from anyone else who has a bluetooth iPod or bluetooth enabled laptop or PocketPC. Not to mention I could buy another adapter that will stream the music through my car. So hawt. I'd never have to burn another cd again. I'd give my cd changer away. Well I better get back to work

Almost Friday twice

It's almost Friday again...Well last weekend I made a ton of plans and NONE of them happened. It's all good though. This weekend I am hanging out with friends tomorrow, going to New Bern to see Thomace Saturday, and going to church with my bro Sunday. Sounds like a pretty good weekend to me.
Work has been very good this week. Very nice relaxing week. Nothing exciting has really been going on this week, so I guess I will just go to sleep now, but first I am going to give Alex a cameo spot because I told her I would post two of her quotes up here that I liked. So Alex this one is for you:
  1. "I have goals and aspirations but i am content in today and the things i have been given...People ask me if the cup is half full or half empty...i say who cares just fill the damn thing up."
  2. "I feel like a defective part that came off the assembly line all f#%ked up and my parents should have sent me back before the warranty ran out"

Almost Friday

Its been a minute since I have updated, I have actually been too busy to blog. Imagine that. So what's been going on? Well things have been shaky at work, not on my part, but with the people around me. Things have been rather uncomfortable at work with drama that relates to certain people, but things seem to be getting back to normal.
Aside from my main job things have been going REALLY well. I have been getting great news and things are going well. Doug is sending me all the paper work to finalize the company, "Identiti Designs", I am making. I am getting the licensing information taken care of that Faisal and I need. I have JUST finished my company's first website. www.rk-guardian.com and Faisal and I are getting together this weekend to tackle our first group job together. It's going to be hawt. I will be so happy when everything falls into place. I still have so much work to do to make it all work. Contracts, accountant information, etc. J-Dy if you want in just say the word. More good news; my boss is going to need me to do more things for his company which will provide me with more experience that is different from my current job. If that wasn't enough good news I just found out I can go back to school to learn things that relate to my job and get paid to do it starting in the Fall. How HAWT is that? Go to work half of the day and go to school the rest of the day and still collect a FULL check. It's a beautiful thing. Well got to go.

Stuff I am looking forward
  • Seeing D, Krontz, and Faisal graduate in May
  • Seeing Alex and J-Dy in G-vegas in May
  • My birthday :)
  • Seeing Tom graduate in June

Sin City

I wish I could say that I just got back from this awesome trip from Mexico or Vegas with a title like this, but nope, I only went to see the movie with Faisal. I really don't know what to say about it. Faisal thought it was a really great movie. I however have mixed emotions, it was good, but it was odd. Keep in mind I have never read the comic book either. I really don't have much to say about the movie at all.
My week (more like 3 days) off of work has been pretty good. I went to work Thursday and Friday and actually used that time to learn new stuff. I learned how to format xml in a browser and the limitations of xml as well. I also learned a little bit more about connecting ASP.Net to databases. I also took the liberty of playing around with keyboard at work. I got the audio gateway working, bluetooth activesync working, network access working, and file transfer working. I've decided now that I need a bluetooth cellphone so I can see how that works with all my other devices. Faisal was trying to convince me to get a bluetooth printer, but I don't print enough to need a bluetooth printer. Well I guess I will get back to my endurance race in GT 4. ~Late
