Unemployed

Well for the next 5 days, I am jobless. What am I going to do with all this free time? Absolutely nothing, it's nice to do that sometime. I never realized how many toys I had from this last job. I am now without an extra cell phone, a laptop, a dell axim, access to a mac, and tons of software. So instead of sulking about not having a job, let's do the top five reasons I have to be happy about being unemployed.
  1. I start a new job next week
  2. I get to see Anya and Melissa this weekend
  3. I bought the new John Legend cd and it's awesome
  4. I had Coldstone today
  5. Tiger Woods 2007 already at 60 on attributes after 2 days of playing.
GOD IS AWESOME, nuff said. It really doesn't take much to make me happy.

It's going to be another "bobbi" weekend

So this weekend plans consist of going to see Superman Returns for 2 bucks, finding somewhere to grub, and maybe a little Tiger Woods 2007, if the disc will cooperate. Tomorrow, I am going to bite the bullet. I am going to Cary to buy a macbook pro. I've been waiting to get the version with a Core 2 duo, and maybe Leopard, but I can't wait anymore. I think tomorrow I am just going to buy the one I want. Either way I am going to be in Raleigh because I am going to see Alex tomorrow and we, my neighbor, and Tom are going to the State Fair. I was going to invite J-Dy but he's already got wonderful plans this weekend. After we got back from the state fair and back to the ville, we will probably go see Ricky Bobby in Talledega Nights. Then Sunday will be another great day of church and then it's back to work Monday.

It's super official

Ok so it took three interviews and a month and a half but I'm officially the web administrator for a hospital here in Fayetteville. I can't wait to put my swag on this website. I've been told I'll get the opportunity to create magic with a redesign of this site, we will see. I'll keep you posted kids.
I'm just happy I don't have to drive an hour to work anymore.
Note to Josh: I've had three shots in my arm...shots aren't cool.

Weekend at Bernies...

Well not really, it was a weekend with the Ray family, but it was AWESOME. Alex invited me to go to the mountains with her fam and it was a blast. We got there Thursday night, watched a movie then went to sleep. The next day we did MAJOR site seeing, went to several "overlooks", arts and craft place, historical parts of town, etc. Came back to the cabin, ate lasagna, played some SPADES. OH yeah, you know I'm all about some spades when I get the chance to play. Bail was promptly set at 500 dollars because Alex and I MURDERED THE OTHER TEAM! After spades it was time for another movie and then bed. We went to Boone that day, saw an AMAZING waterfall, came back after site seeing and played some Tiger Woods 2007. EA sports, if it's in the game; it's in the game. We then cooked out on the grill and had a board game marathon. Scrabble, Boxers and Briefs, and Scrupples. Watched another movie and then went to bed. Woke up to Honey Buckwheat Pancakes. It was good, but all pancakes taste the same smothered in syrup. After breakfast it was time to start the drive home. All and all I've got to say I had so much fun with Alex and her fam, but then again I always do.

It's all...."bobby"

What can I say about this weekend but "WOW"? I drove to Raleigh to spend the weekend with D and Megs. It was a much needed break. I won't give you the play by play of the weekend, but I will sum it up with the highlights.
  • DJ D at the Middle School Party of a lifetime lol
  • Dane Cook at 4 in the am
  • Call of Duty 2 and NCAA 2007 on the 50 " plasma complete with Dolby Digital SS.
  • ECU vs VA and ECU takes the "W." Where it's another first down pirates.
  • The ride to ECU game. Crazy Sing A Long going on.
  • Late night Pizza and XBOX 360
  • Megs cooked pancakes. "flippin awesome gosh"
  • Chili at FP's.
So that about sums it up. Now the explanation for title. After this weekend we are no longer aloud to say "good." We now say "bobby" in an English accent to honor number 19 on the ECU football, Bobby Good, who catches more passes than Paul Troth throws interceptions. Yeah, he's "bobby." On an unexpected sad note, I somehow didn't get to see J-Dy or Krontz and Krontz was at the flippen game.

I wonder is it true

I was having a conversation with my friend last week in which I realized that maybe, just MAYBE that I'm a high maintenance guy. Could it be? I thought I was a pretty "easy going" guy, but "easy going" doesn't mean low maintenance. When I was asked to describe myself I replied, "I am a guy that knows exactly what he wants and won't settle for anything less." Which is the truth, and ended up elongating this conversation in which two points were made. 1)Having values does not make you high maintenance vs 2) Having extreme preferences does (which apparently I fall under.) An example given I could give, comes from when we were talking about the simple things that make me happy and I listed one of my favorites...ice cream. The rebuttal to this was mentioning the fact that I haven't had grocery store bought ice cream in 2 years. I haven't touched store bought ice cream since I first went to Coldstones. There were several other points to this conversation like my car, the clothes I buy, the computer I want, etc. I guess I do exhibit many attributes of a high maintenance person, but I still don't really consider myself as such.

Tiger Wooooooo

This weekend has been great. I got two calls from Doug. I got a call from Delane and we've made plans to hit up the game next week at ECU. It's going to be off the chain. I got a call from Alex and she is doing awesome and really focusing on school. I am very proud of her. I just have so much to be thankful for and so many reasons to tell God thank you.

Yesterday was a full day of learning AJAX and after working hard and learning a bunch of new stuff, taking time out to play Tiger Woods with the guys. I am not as good at Tiger Woods as I used to be. I actually made Par on a whole which is completely unlike my usual style of playing where my worst is a birdie. Yeah I really need some Coldstone today. I may do that after dinner.
