Ask'em about his Axim

Yeah so today when I got to work I was pleasantly surprised. Sitting at my desk was a New Dell Axim x50v. For those that don't know what a big deal this is, click here. These things aren't cheap, especially this model. So my basic reason for getting the axim, as I was informed, was to write some programs that will help administrators do their jobs better. Some examples are making the forms they need available on Pocket PC so they can fill them out on the spot and have them sent to a database and be printed by the time they get back to the office. J-Dy it looks like our pocket pc project paid off from Tabrizi's class huh? Currently making programs like that is NOT in my job description, but I have been informed that my job description will be changing soon. Considering my last two days of drama, this was really good news....twice.
7-days to J-Dys birthday :)

Q. "Now Kids..What do you say when you meet a nice man?"

A. "Are you my daddy?" That's one of my favorite lines from "Don't Be a Menance to South Central While Drinking Your Juice in the Hood." Ok, but now those lines are truly significant to me. (side note:my dad is officially not allowed to call me at work.) Yesterday he called me with bad news and today....well today's announcement was MORE so crucial. This is a TRUE story. It really happened. He calls me just before lunch and the conversation went like this:
Dad: Hey
Me: Hey dad, what's up?
Dad: I just called to inform you that the Sheriff just came by looking for you.
Me: (thinking wtfmate) what for?
Dad: You have to go to court
Me: Did I witness a crime
Dad: No you have to defend yourself. Someone is accusing you of something
Me: Of what?
Dad: They accusing you of being someone's father
Me: *laughing* You know April isn't for another two months right?
Dad: I'm not laughing and I'm not joking. Your court date is May 5th, this girl had the baby in 2001. You've not been telling me somethings? Have you?
Me: You know everything there is to know. It's not possible for me to be this girls father. What's her name? Where does she live?

Ok so you get the jist of the conversation. I had never heard of the name he said, but at this point I was angry. I was told that someone says I'm their baby's father and now I have to go all to SC to PROVE that I am not. What kind of sense does that make? The sad thing about it is, if I didn't show up, I would have to pay child support for this kid, from a girl that've NEVER MET. At this point I figured from the information that my dad gave me was that she did a search for my name, looking for a guy with the same name as mine, on the internet and got my address and put it down hoping it was the right one, and GUESS WHAT? IT WASN'T! My father did a search and got this girl's number and CALLED her. By the time I got home from work the situation had been revolved; no court date anymore, etc. She even got the real address of the guy, who oddly has my first and last name and middle initial. I guess if I was your average guy that situation would have scared me, but since I'm me it just really pissed me off. But it's all good. Time to get ready for work tomorrow

Crucialness

Wednesday was a great day. I found out my car was ready to be picked up (it had been broke for two weeks.) I got to work and everything I tried to fix was just extremely easy. Then we had a meeting with a vendor and they bought us lunch. Then I got to rebuild a server, which I thought was hot. My boss was explaining some of the new features of the software we had purchased and how it would help us do our jobs more effectiently. Then I got a call from my dad about 40 minutes before I was supposed to go home which I thought was a good thing, because I haven't seen my dad in a week (he's a tour bus driver...always gone.) So he calls me and tells me mom has been in a very bad wreck and asked me how quickly I could get home. Which at this point I'm just lost for words because my heart had just stopped. So after a short pause I asked if she was ok and he explained she was ok and not injured badly. So at this point I leave work to get to where my dad is at. When I got to him he explained that a guy ran a stop light and hit my mom. She was at the emergency room when I got home, but when she got home she seemed to be ok. The car looks terrible though. It's not totaled, but damn. I may post pics later, but for now it's time to grub.

GT4.....Wow

So the highlight of my month until Josh's birthday is GT4. I got the game today at 5pm and it took me two hours just to look through the cars. A pleasant suprise when I started this game is that because I had GT3 data saved on my memory card, it started me out with two licenses and 110,000 rather than 10,000. So rather than having to buy a used piece of crap, I decided to buy a Lancer Evo GSR and tweak it up to 476 hp. I've only done 5 races and won one car (mazada 6). The game is truly awesome though. Well back to playing. :)

Yeah...so I just found out I am a selfish eccentric cock...

So I took my brother out for his 27th birthday. I told him we could go to Outback, Texas Roadhouse, Olive Garden, Smokey Bones, anywhere he wanted and where does he choose? Well he chose the same Chinese Restaurant we go to every two weeks. wtfmate! However, I didn't really mind because I was in the mood for chinese. I love Tung Sing, it's the best.
So while I was there I was looking at the placemat and it had the chinese zodiac on it, and I was reading it and of course I found my year there. It said that I am a eccentric cock and that I am all about work and acquiring more knowledge. That was of course very true until it got to the part about me being selfish. No one has ever considered selfishness as one of my character traits with the exception of my ex girlfriend and she doesn't count.
For some reason all the music that was playing at this restaurant was from the game, Grand Theft Auto Vice City. It really made me want to play that game....that or walk outside and jack someone's motorcycle. I think I am safer playing the game though. Speaking of which I might pop in San Andreas now. NOTE: Gran Turismo 4 comes out tomorrow...yeah baby!
