Realization

Ok so I came to a shocking realization yesterday. And that realization is that God is in control. I know it's something that some people say, but it was REALLY made known to me through my actions and thoughts yesterday. All programmers are familiar with the term "algorithm." An algorithm is basically a DEFINED set of instructions for accomplishing a task. I realized yesterday that I follow an algorithm that only God, not even myself, entirely understands. As I was driving I planned out the route I was going to take to get lunch, but apparently that's not the route I was supposed to go. How did God get me to deviate from my own plan? Simple, God knows EVERYTHING about me. He knows the way I think, the way I walk, the way I drive, therefore it is simple. He changed the stoplight. I realized yesterday as I was driving that the way lights change influence my driving. If I can catch a green light I will take that path, but if I get stopped by a red light I'll take another path normally. I didn't realize that until yesterday, but God has ALWAYS known this. As I realized this information it made me think about the rest of my day and I realized my whole day was planned before I even thought about planning it. Even the order of events couldn't of changed. The tasks that I had a choice of doing, would have still been done in the same order even if I tried to do them differently. It's amazing to understand God working at that level. Does that mean that I'm incapable of doing anything wrong? HARDLY! But it does mean that God knows how to get me back on track when I've learned what he needed me to learn from my mistake(s).

A good day

2007 has been awesome thus far. It really looks like it's going to be another wonderful year. My cousin has spent the last week visiting and we've had so much fun. It's always good to have the opportunity to hang out. We pretty much do the same thing I do with all of my good friends, eat, play games, and watch movies. We did continue with our yearly tradition of going after Christmas shopping. We went to the outlets last night and hit it up. It was another good time had by all. We will definitely have to do it again.
Work has been going well. Everything is starting to come in for the Cancer Redesign project and other projects are starting to emerge. In recent news, I've found out my work laptop has been kidnapped. I asked the head of Hardware where is the laptop I was promised and even SHOWN last week and he explained it's being held captive but I will receive it soon, so we'll see. I am definitely going to need it before the redesign starts. I have my fingers crossed for Monday. The people I work with are really great. I have such an appreciation for them. I walked in this morning and everyone was gathered in one office. So I walk in and say hello and good morning and Mike replies, "Marcus it's going to be a great day today." And everyone is sitting there eating cookies and they passed me a cookie and I ate it and said, "Wow it is going to be a great day today." But it's amazing that we all got so much enjoyment from sitting there eating Reese's cookies. It's not often that you find people, like myself, that get so much pleasure from something so simple. It doesn't take money or a free trip to boast morale, just a simple cookie.
I've gotten tons of good news from all of my friends. Things seem to be going really well for them and that's what I love to hear. I've had one friend just recently land a REALLY sweet job, one's getting married next week, and there are tons of other news, so I'm really excited for a lot of people.
Note to J-Dy: c00se is hungry. I am going to get food now.

New Years Resolution

My New Year's Resolution for 2007 is to sever old ties. Basically if you haven't called me or talked to me in the last 5 years, you've been deleted from every device/application that I own. And the reason for this is I have too many great friends that keep in touch with me that I don't spend enough time with. So this year I'll appreciate my true friends just a little bit more. Happy New Year Everyone.

Christmas Spectacular

I went to Durham to visit J-Dy this weekend and to go to Summit Church's Christmas Spectacular and I got to say it was nothing short of Spectacular. I made it to Durham Saturday just in time to catch some grub, play one game of Wii sports at J-Dy's place and then head to the event. It was truly awesome and just what I needed. I've seen so many Christmas things going on since November, but I got to say this is the first one that was about Christ. It's amazing how commercial Christmas has gotten and how much people have forgotten that Christ is the reason for the season. I think it was put very eloquently that if you think Christmas is just about a baby being born in a manger then you're missing half of the message. Christmas is not about a baby being born in a manger it's about Christ being born in your heart. It's about celebrating Christ in our lives everyday.
After we left from the "Spectacular" grabbed grub from the dub and then played more wii. I ended up leaving right after church (which was awesome, JD actually quoted Talladega Nights) Sunday although I wish I could have stayed longer, but I had a prior engagement.

Number 100

I just realized that this will be my 100th post to my blog. Wow!!! It's hard to believe I've been blogging (to the two people that read it) my incredibly boring little life for that long. lol Well yesterday I broke out Red Steel and played it for the second time. The first time I played it I only got 2 minutes into the game before quitting because I got dizzy. I was deteremined to at least make it to 10 minutes this time. An hour and a half later I got to say it's not that bad. The first first person shooter and stabber game is pretty good. The trick to it unlike Wii sports is you have to sit down. My arm got kind of tired, I wish I could make some kind of stand to lay my arm on. It could of reminded me of back in the day when my dad used to make me hold the antennea in one spot so he could watch football. lol I need a stand to slide the controller in and point it at the screen. Well I better get back to work.
